What's in this course?

Watch 177 core-topic videos across all 21 core units, followed by 21 rapid-fire final-review videos. The four teaching chapters follow the four sections of FINRA’s SIE content outline, and the final-review chapter recaps every unit. Together, the course contains 198 videos across 5 chapters and 25 units. See the SIE content outline for what each section covers.

Each video is self-contained and gets straight to the point: what's tested, why it's tested that way, and the traps the exam likes to set. No filler, no unrelated tangents. Every video links back to the matching written lesson in the CertFuel app, free to read with no signup wall, if you want the full breakdown of that subtopic. Prefer to listen? The SIE podcast covers the same units in audio.

Frequently asked

Is the video course free?

Yes. All 198 videos are free to watch, with no signup wall. So is the written lesson behind each one. The complete SIE course in the CertFuel app is free too, including adaptive practice questions, flashcards, and the exam-readiness score, with no credit card and no trial.

Do I need to watch the videos in order?

No, but it helps. Each video is self-contained, so you can jump straight to the subtopic you're studying right now. If you're starting from scratch, working through a chapter in order follows the app's course sequence, so foundational ideas land before the ones that build on them.

How is this different from CertFuel's in-app lessons?

These are the same videos that live inside each SIE lesson in the CertFuel app, republished here as a standalone, browsable library. In the app, each video sits alongside its full written lesson plus adaptive practice questions and spaced-repetition flashcards for that subtopic, all free for the SIE.

How are the chapters organized?

The four teaching chapters follow the four sections of FINRA's SIE content outline: Knowledge of Capital Markets (16% of the exam, 12 scored questions), Understanding Products and Their Risks (44%, 33 questions), Understanding Trading, Customer Accounts and Prohibited Activities (31%, 23 questions), and Overview of the Regulatory Framework (9%, 7 questions). A fifth chapter holds the rapid-fire final-review videos, one per unit.

Do the exams after the SIE have video courses too?

Yes. The SIE is a co-requisite you pair with a top-off exam and often a state-law exam, and CertFuel publishes public video courses for those as well, including the Series 6, Series 7, Series 63, Series 65, and Series 66. Find them in the Video Courses column at the bottom of any page.
